Prince Harry is being ignored by the royal family because they don’t trust him or his wife, Meghan Markle, according to sources. A royal insider said, “The royal family just doesn’t trust Harry or Meghan. That’s the main issue. Even if they forgive, they won’t forget.”
This comes after Harry’s recent BBC interview, where he said he doesn’t know how long his father, King Charles, has left to live. Many people thought this was inappropriate, especially since the King is battling cancer.
Royal expert Hugo Vickers said, “Harry talks too much, just like his mother, Princess Diana. The royal family doesn’t like private matters becoming public. That’s why King Charles and Prince William don’t trust him.”
King Charles reportedly refused to meet with Harry when he visited the UK in April for the Invictus Games. Harry had wanted to talk about his family’s security, but Charles didn’t respond to his messages.
Harry recently lost a court case where he tried to get his UK security paid for by the government. He said he couldn’t bring Meghan and their kids Archie and Lilibet back to the UK without proper protection. Vickers said, “Harry needs to stop whining about security. He’s making it worse for himself.”
Meghan hasn’t returned to the UK since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022. Harry now says he doesn’t see a time when he would bring his family back.
People close to the royal family say the repeated interviews and Harry’s 2023 book Spare have damaged relationships. Harry has publicly criticized family members, including saying Prince William once physically attacked him.
Vickers added that Harry should privately apologize to his father, instead of talking on TV. “But he won’t,” Vickers said. “He’s ruined his chance.”
