Prince Harry is completely under Meghan Markle’s control, and King Charles is well aware of it, according to royal commentator Esther Krakue. She told The Sun it’s common knowledge among the royals that Meghan has Harry firmly under her influence, and even mentioned that King Charles has reportedly called him “whipped.”
Krakue, speaking with royal biographer Phil Dampier, also pointed out how Queen Elizabeth II’s opinion of Meghan changed over time. At first, the Queen, like many people, saw Meghan as a breath of fresh air smart, well-spoken, and easy to welcome into the family. But Krakue believes problems started because of a cultural clash.
She said Meghan might have expected to marry a billionaire, only to discover Harry was a millionaire with less power and status than she thought. Krakue also doubts Meghan fully understood or cared about what being a royal would involve.
Her comments line up with things Lady Elizabeth Anson, a cousin and close friend of the Queen, shared before she died. In interviews later published, Anson revealed that before Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018, the Queen wasn’t sure what to make of Meghan, saying “the jury is out on whether she likes Meghan.”
Anson also noted that Harry seemed completely taken by Meghan and was seen as weak around women, with some thinking Meghan had planned it all. Over time, Harry and Meghan became distant from William and Kate, and the Queen reportedly observed that Meghan and Kate were “not working well” together, which raised even more concern within the family.
