Kim Kardashian has said Instagram photos showing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Kris Jenner’s birthday party were removed after concerns the images clashed with Remembrance Day, reigniting scrutiny over the Sussexes’ appearance at an A-list celebration.
On Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Page Six reported that Ms Kardashian said she and her mother had been told it was “totally cool” to post the pictures, but later took them down when they realised it was Remembrance Day and the couple “didn’t want to be seen at a party”.
Ms Kardashian also described Kris Jenner’s relationship with the Duchess of Sussex as longstanding, saying the pair “have been friends for some years now” and share a “really sweet relationship”, as she framed the deletion as a gesture of respect rather than a response to backlash.
The explanation follows earlier claims that the fallout from the deleted images helped fuel tension around the Sussexes’ communications operation, with Britpop News previously reporting that Kris Jenner drama was linked to Meghan Markle losing an employee amid wider questions about the couple’s public relations strategy.
While Page Six said the photos related to Ms Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration in November 2025, neither the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nor their representatives publicly confirmed details of the decision to remove the posts at the time. Page Six said it contacted a representative for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
