The attacks on King Charles’ supposed racism have not slowed down and there’s already news around The Queen’s approach to how she has handled issues on her character in the past, but this time, it’s from none other than Keith Richards.
Keith Richards has a history of blasting The Royal Family on multiple occasions. It was back when Rolling Stones bandmate Mick Jagger accepted a knighthood in 2003. The frontman was honored for 40 years of service to popular music, but Keith admitted that the meaning of rock and roll was not exactly to go with the grain. It’s shocking that he felt this way, but he knew exactly the point he wanted to make.
Keith stated:
It’s not what the Stones is about is it?
This came as a response when The Queen saw his name in the list of people and said two words, ‘Not Suitable.’ It looks like the dust has settled, but the scar lives on in Richard’s mind. Keith even called The Queen some filthy names before the Knighthood, and so this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
Richards may stand by the Robert Smith motto:
How dare they presume that they could give me an honor. I’m much better than them, they’ve never done anything, they’re f*cking idiots. I thought it was ludicrous to take one of those gongs from the establishment when they did their very best to throw us in jail and kill us at one time
What may look like a rift between The Royal Family and Richards may be an act of never-ending belief that beef can be called off and situations can be taken down the path of conversation and solution. No one knows what to expect, but one can rest assured that it’s not the best decision to hold a grudge for too long – especially after their passing like in the sad case of our dear Queen.
