Justin Timberlake recently put a halt on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour once again after sustaining a back injury during a recent performance in New Orleans. The 43-year-old pop icon has announced on Instagram that his show at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center on December 2nd is officially canceled as he focuses on recovery via Thirsty For News.
“I’m so sorry, Oklahoma City,” Timberlake wrote in his heartfelt Instagram Story update.
“I hurt my back in NOLA, and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little longer. I hate doing this, but thank you for your support.” Fans, while disappointed, have largely expressed their understanding as Timberlake prioritizes his health.
This is the third time Timberlake has had to reschedule or cancel dates on his ambitious Forget Tomorrow World Tour. Supporting his latest album Everything I Thought It Was, the tour marks Timberlake’s first in five years, spanning continents with stops across the U.S., South America, Europe, and the U.K. Previously postponed shows from October are already being integrated into his February 2025 schedule, ensuring fans will eventually get their fill of the dynamic performer.
Justin Timberlake’s back injury has temporarily sidelined him, but his year has been far from uneventful. In September, he resolved a DWI charge by pleading guilty, which resulted in a $500 fine and 25 hours of community service. This incident briefly shifted the focus away from his music, but Timberlake has since redirected attention to his craft. Fellow N’Sync member Joey Fatone recently attended one of Timberlake’s shows and shared behind-the-scenes moments with fans. Meanwhile, Lance Bass revealed that Diddy played a role in influencing Timberlake’s decision to leave the group for a solo career.
