Justin Bieber shared a video of himself smoking and dancing on Instagram, seemingly responding to fans who were worried about his recent behavior.
In the one-minute video, Bieber took several puffs from what looked like a joint, smiled at the camera, and danced. Some fans believe he was making fun of those who had expressed concern about him at his wife Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Skin event in Los Angeles.
At that event, a video of Bieber went viral, showing him shifting his weight, holding his pants, and scratching his leg while talking to someone. Some fans thought he looked strange, with comments like, “This is hard to watch. Someone help him,” and “He looks like something is wrong.”
Another video from the event showed Bieber standing still and staring at the camera while Hailey pretended to lick his cheek. He was also wearing sunglasses indoors at night, which some found odd.
However, other fans defended him, saying people were overreacting. One wrote, “Justin Bieber is smiling, and haters are like, ‘OMG, what’s wrong with him?’ LEAVE HIM ALONE.”
Sources told TMZ that Bieber was not high at the event. His rep also denied the rumors, calling them “exhausting and pitiful.”
His spokesperson added that Bieber has been busy with music and being a new father to his son, Jack Blues, who was born in August. They said the past year has been “transformative” for him.
Despite the speculation, Bieber seems to be carrying on as usual, and his Instagram video may have been his way of laughing off the rumors.
