Insider claims Britney Spears has ‘shady’ entourage
Britney Spears is facing renewed scrutiny over her personal circle after a report claimed some of the people around the pop star have “criminal histories”, with concerns raised about whether she is being taken advantage of following a recent drink-driving arrest.
Reality Tea reported that an unnamed insider alleged Spears is surrounded by “incredibly shady” friends who “want to make a buck off her”, and said her family has long feared opportunists could pull her “back to rock bottom”.
The piece also cites claims from RadarOnline that Spears has been spending heavily and giving money to people close to her, and suggests her DUI arrest last month has intensified worries about her wellbeing. It adds that some observers have again raised the idea of a conservatorship, noting Spears was previously under one for more than a decade before it ended in 2021.
In the wake of the arrest, Britpop News has previously reported on the legal fallout, including that Spears was expected to face a court date connected to the alleged DUI as her situation continued to draw public attention.
Reality Tea also referenced a separate claim that Spears sold her music catalogue to Primary Wave for $200 million in February, with the outlet saying the spending allegations have prompted fears she could burn through her funds. Spears has not publicly addressed the claims about her entourage.
