Former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader Stefanie Hill shared her experience of seeing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship up close during the 2023-2024 NFL season. Hill, who cheered for the Chiefs for six seasons, talked about how exciting it was to have Swift at games and how she always supported Kelce. Swift even skipped Kelce’s game following her after-party.
In a TikTok video, Hill remembered the first time Swift attended a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023, when rumors about her and Kelce started. She said she was so shocked to see Swift in the crowd that she had trouble focusing on her job.
“The first game she came to, I almost lost it,” Hill joked. “I was supposed to cheer and dance, but all I could think was, ‘That’s Taylor Swift!’”
Hill was even more surprised when her cheerleading team performed a routine she had choreographed. She looked up and saw Swift watching and clapping. “If she clapped, that means she liked it,” Hill said, feeling proud that Swift enjoyed her work.
Swift also had a special tradition after games—she always met Kelce near the locker room. Hill explained that the Chiefs cheerleaders’ locker room was right next to the players’ locker room, so she and her teammates often saw Swift waiting for Kelce.
“All those pictures of her walking down the tunnels at Arrowhead Stadium were taken right by us,” Hill said. “We saw her a lot.”
Hill and her teammates were so excited to meet Swift that they decided to wait by the door, hoping to take a picture with her. “We waited a long time,” Hill laughed, saying even those who weren’t big Swift fans were excited.
After seeing Swift at games and watching how she supported Kelce, Hill became a fan. “I loved having her as part of Chiefs Kingdom,” she said.
Hill also shared a fun Chiefs cheerleader tradition—getting tattoos whenever the team wins a Super Bowl. After the Chiefs’ 2024 victory, she and her teammates went to a tattoo shop to celebrate.
“Every time we go to the Super Bowl, we get tattoos,” Hill explained. “This was my fourth Super Bowl, so I got my fourth tattoo.”
She said the tattoos weren’t required, but most of the team got one. Even their trainer, Michaela, got a special Vegas-themed tattoo to mark the win.
