Ed Sheeran seems to be one of the nicest people in music, or at minimum, he is along the rankings of Dave Grohl. Ed has always loved his fans and has done everything that he can to ensure that they are taken care of very well.
As reported by UG – Ed Sheeran was in a subway the other day when he noticed an incredibly talented singer, Mike Yung. Mike, who was a former “America’s Got Talent” contestant sang incredibly as Ed would then be joining Yung for a spontaneous duet of his recent hit song “Eyes Closed”. The talented singer became an online sensation for his rendition of Sheeran’s tunes, with his 2017 cover of “Thinking Out Loud” which would gain 6 million views on YouTube.
Sheeran was so blown away by Mike’s performance that he wanted to do something special for the singer. So, in typical great guy Ed fashion, after the two sang with one another, he then hugged the man and gifted him with free tickets to his show at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. “Eyes Closed” is the lead single off Sheeran’s upcoming record “-“, due for release on May 5.
Check out some footage of the two below. What’s so great about the video is not only the reaction of Mike, but the reaction of Ed Sheeran, who seemed just as joyful as Mike was after Mike was gifted tickets to the upcoming Ed Sheeran show.
We are hoping that these two get together some day and do a feature. Their voices go together extremely well and Ed Sheeran and Mike for sure can colab very easily with one another rather than something feeling forced like a lot of features do.
We are waiting with baited breath for this to happen hopefully as soon as possible.
