While it may be hard to believe, RINGO STARR has NEVER TRIED PIZZA!
The legendary Beatles drummer revealed during his recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that he has never had pizza or curry.
Though his decision to avoid those foods is quite reasonable, with Starr stating that he’s “allergic to several items” and with pizza and curry “you don’t know what the f*ck’s in it.”
“I’m strict with myself since it makes me ill immediately,” he added.
“I used to think you had the greatest life, and now I realise mine is better,” Kimmel quipped, to which Ringo agreed: “Yours is better because you’ve had a pizza”.
Diehard fans, however, will remember that Starr did appear in a Pizza Hut ad in 1995.
Today in 1968, THE BEATLES recorded “Across The Universe” at Abbey Road Studios.
While working on the song, JOHN LENNON and PAUL MCCARTNEY decided they wanted some falsetto harmonies on the track. The musicians invited two female fans (16-year-old Brazilian Lizzie Bravo and 17-year-old Londoner Gayleen Pease) who were walking outside of the studio to come in and record backing vocals.
While Bravo and Pease’s voices didn’t make the cut on the “Let It Be” version of “Across the Universe,” they can be heard on the albums “No One’s Gonna Change Our World”, “Rarities”, and “Past Masters”.
