David Beckham Turns 51 as Brooklyn Stays Silent
David Beckham marked his 51st birthday on Friday as tributes poured in from members of his family, while eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and Brooklyn’s wife, Ms Nicola Peltz Beckham, did not publicly post messages for the occasion. The social media posts, shared by David’s wife, Ms Victoria Beckham, and their younger sons, highlighted the former England captain’s milestone and drew fresh attention to reports of tension within the family.
The Sun reported that Ms Victoria Beckham shared a series of private photos alongside a birthday message calling David “the best husband, daddy, son, brother, and friend”, while Romeo Beckham and Cruz Beckham also posted tributes to their father.
Cruz Beckham posted a photograph of himself playing an acoustic guitar for David on a yacht, and his girlfriend, Ms Jackie Apostel, also wrote a message praising David as a “role model” and thanking him for being “dad to this kid,” according to the report. The article said Romeo’s birthday post included a message thanking David for “everything you do”.
The latest birthday messages arrive after months of public scrutiny surrounding the Beckhams, including past reporting on claims of a wider family rift and Brooklyn’s previous statements about his relationship with his parents, which followed Brooklyn Beckham appearing to snub Victoria Beckham on Mother’s Day.
With David and Victoria continuing to post family updates publicly, attention is likely to remain on whether Brooklyn and Nicola choose to address the situation or share any public message in the days ahead.
