It has been further noted that the favorites to bag the role include LGBTQ actors like Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey, singer Sam Smith, and Thor’s Tessa Thompson. But Out noted that the outlet’s favorite is Luke Evans. Henry Cavill’s name had also popped up previously. Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s name in the mix as per TMZ. Now, it seems that Lucien Laviscount could be in-line for James Bond role. He has won over millions of fans as the charming heart-throb in the Netflix series Emily In Paris.
It has been noted that Laviscount has also caught the eye of James Bond boss Barbara Broccoli and is being lined up to become the new 007.
Daniel Craig talks about his potential replacement
Daniel Craig gave his advice for the next James Bond after hanging up his 007 boots. Daniel was quizzed about what words of wisdom he has for his successor in an interview with Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott on Magic Radio.
”But I’m not going to ask you that question. What I’m going to ask you is…”, before Kate interrupted: ”What is the elephant in the room?”
To which Ronan replied: ”Who is the next James Bond”, with Daniel quipping: ”Like I’d know”.
The Boyzone singer then went on to ask the actor what it takes to be James Bond.
Stumped for words, Daniel said: ”Oh I don’t know. God…”, before adding: ‘‘Don’t be s**t!”.
The Casino Royale heartthrob’s witty response received roars of laughter in the studio with Ronan shouting: ”Yes, my favourite quote.”
The conversation then moved to the huge list of names of actors who could take his place Kate added: ”I’m so intrigued by this, I can’t wait to find out”.
