Coldplay is a group that we haven’t heard much about for a fair amount of time. Now, they are set to make waves again within the Alternative Rock world as they were recently seen and heard covering a very classic and nostalgic rendition of a favored Pearl Jam song.
The song that Coldplay covered is none other than ‘Nothingman’. Of course, Coldplay made sure to hold this one tight to their chests until their show was up and running in Seattle, Washington. Many would have suspected that they would have taken the easier route and just played a Nirvana song or Soundgarden song, but Coldplay are all big fans of Pearl Jam and it’s nice to see them pay homage to the group.
Chris Martin, the singer of Coldplay had the following shoutout to give to the Pearl Jam lead singer, Eddie Vedder as Chris played his rendition of ‘Nothingman,’: “This is a 44-year-old man remembering how much he fell in love with Pearl Jam in 1991. Eddie, if you ever hear this, I love you man.”
Truly a very heart warming and touching tribute to the legendary Pearl Jam star. Check out more on the performance below as it was a sight to see.
