Britney Spears Claims Coats and Jewellery Stolen
Ms Britney Spears has alleged that coats and jewellery have gone missing from her California home, sharing the claims in a late-night Instagram post dated Thursday 28 May. The pop star, 44, wrote about the disappearance while also describing a broken lamp she said was accidentally thrown away, framing both incidents as part of her uneasy feelings about security at home.
In the same post, IBTimes UK reported that Spears claimed she has been “so used to people taking my things”, alleging that jewellery went missing two years ago and that “two closets” containing her coat collection spanning “40 years” had also vanished.
The report noted Spears did not identify who she believes took the items, whether any police report has been filed, or provide documentation to support the allegation. It also quoted her describing a small domestic comfort — a softly lit kitchen lamp she said had been in place for three months — before writing that her maid “accidentally threw it away as if it was a napkin”.
The claims arrive against a backdrop of legal and public scrutiny following her recent driving case, with Spears continuing informal probation after a reduced plea; she also addressed criticism online in posts reacting to renewed attention around her arrest video.
Spears’ latest message offers another glimpse into the private, disjointed style of her social media updates, while underlining that she believes personal possessions are still going missing from her home.
