Britney Spears’ Borden Cottage Rehab Stay Detailed
Details have emerged about Ms Britney Spears’ reported stay at a high-end rehabilitation facility in Maine, following a recent DUI arrest in California. The singer, 44, was said to have received treatment for substance abuse and mental health before leaving the programme earlier this month.
Geo News reported that TMZ confirmed Ms Spears had been staying at Borden Cottage in Camden, Maine, and that a minimum 45-day stay could cost up to $140,000, citing information published by Recovery.com.
The report said Borden Cottage limits treatment to eight patients at a time and offers a mix of traditional and holistic therapies, including yoga, tai chi and personal training. It also listed modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, mindfulness, art therapy and group therapy.
Ms Spears’ representative previously confirmed to the Daily Mail that the singer had “voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility”. The new details follow earlier Britpop News reporting that she was reportedly ‘feeling positive’ after rehab as she continued to focus on recovery.
Geo News added that Ms Spears’ decision to enter treatment came about a month after she was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Ventura County on March 4. Authorities were quoted as saying she appeared to be driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol. No further official updates on the case were included in the report.
