Britney Spears is looking back on her marriage to Sam Asghari and she’s not holding back, calling it “a bunch of B.S.”
On Instagram Sunday, Britney said she only married Sam to distract herself from the pain of being estranged from her sons, Sean and Jayden. She explained that the wedding happened during one of the hardest times in her life, when she felt “cut off” from her boys. She admitted, “It almost felt like a fake distraction to help me deal with it.”
Britney and Sam got married in June 2022 in a star-studded ceremony with Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, and more in attendance. But things fell apart quickly they separated in 2023 and finalized their divorce in 2024.
Now, Britney says she’s in a better place. She’s focusing on healthier habits, including her relationship with food, and seems to have reconnected with her sons. In June, she spent time with Jayden and even shared a clip of her youngest driving her around.
As for her exes, the relationships aren’t as warm. Kevin Federline is reportedly writing a tell-all book, and Sam has moved on with a new girlfriend.
