Queen legend Brian May recently took to his Instagram account and posted a graphic. He also added a caption:
“Hi Folks – – i’ve been watching this for a few days, and I’m very concerned. I’ve asked our management to look into it, and try to figure out if there is a reason for Instagram and Universal suddenly becoming so Draconian. The decision to take these videos down certainly hasn’t come from us, the band. hopefully we will get an answer soon. Meanwhile, be extra careful and I’m sorry you good folks of good intentions have been put in this position. Wishing you a happy Christmas season. In common with many of you, I don’t find it easy to come up to the level of frenetic joyfulness that is portrayed in the media as requisite for this time of year. Meanwhile, in an interview with Goldmine during 10 CC’s 2023 Australian tour, Graham Gouldman discussed the possibility that Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was inspired by 10 CC’s work. While Gouldman is not certain that ‘I’m Not In Love’ influenced Queen, he did note that 10 CC’s ‘Une Nuit à Paris’ preceded ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’
He avoided directly saying that Queen copied from 10 CC, but he expressed his respect for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ but also stressed that ‘Une Nuit à Paris’ came out earlier. He said:
