It was recently announced today that Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019 resigned on July 7th, 2022. He will remain in his position until a new leader is elected. Before his status as Prime Minister, Johnson was Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016 as well as the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs from 2019.
In his personal life, Johnson began living with Carrie Symonds the daughter of the co-founder of the popular British newspaper, The Independent. The two would become engaged in late 2019 and Symonds would be having a child together. That child, a song named Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson would be born on April 29th, 2020
In a series of pictures that were recently posted to Mrs. Johnson’s social media via Instagram, the happy family can be seen escaping the busy London bustle for the quiet and peaceful beaches. It should be noted that these pictures were taken before the news about Prime Minister Johnson’s resignation earlier this Thursday.
Speaking of the Prime Minister, it is unclear if he ultimately did join his family on this darling getaway as the pictures themselves clearly just show Ms. Johnson, newborn daughter Romy and their dog, Dilyn. It is also believed that these photos were taken at Thorpe Bay over in Essex.
In addition, Mrs. Johnson would also explain what her daughters were named after, chiming in the social media post that Romy was named after her aunt, Rosemary. Conversely, Charlotte was picked for the Prime Minister’s late monther named Charlotte Johnson Wahl, who passed away back in 2021. Iris would be chosen due to the Greek word for “Rainbow” with the happy mother stating that her child was a “rainbow baby” which is a child born after a miscarriage.
