Alex James has addressed the possibility of Liam Gallagher being his next-door neighbor. The Blur bassist famously left the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle to become a cheese farmer in Chipping Norton and has responded to news of the former Oasis vocalist relocating to Oxfordshire’s Cotswolds.
Speaking with Radio X’s Johnny Vaughan Alex said he was thrilled to know it. The Song 2 legends announced a massive 2023 reunion, featuring a concert at the renowned London outdoor venue and another soon before at the Beauregard Festival in France.
He said about Liam, “I was delighted to hear that.”
He wants Liam to start farming, “I hope he does take the plunge, but farms are the nearest thing there is to a natural habitat for the rock gentleman.

Blur’s reunion shows, which will feature special guests Slowthai and Self Esteem, were almost leaked because to Alex James’ children. “Keeping it in the bag has been tough because one of the kids found out and began telling all the others, then they started telling their friends,” the bassist told Johnny Vaughan. No way! I exclaimed. You might completely wreck it!
“But they’re overjoyed! I was taking one of them to see one of his friend’s bands perform the other week, and he kept shouting, “Dad, dad, they do two Blur songs!” And there’s just one Oasis song!” Now, that would be an awesome one to say the least.
