Damon Albarn is a very busy man. Not only does he have his duties with the Gorillaz, but he also, of course, still stays the path of Blur, the band that started it all for him. Some fans have been asking when a new tour would be released by the aforementioned group, and we are here to say that the time is now and to get your tickets as soon as you can because this will surely sell out extremely quick.
As posted on the official Twitter for Blur: “Just announced 🚨 blur warm-up shows in Colchester, Eastbourne, Wolverhampton and Newcastle. In 2015, Blur announced that they would be reuniting for a series of concerts, which were met with excitement from their fans. The band had been on hiatus since 2003 at the time, and their reunion was eagerly anticipated by their dedicated fan base.
Blur’s reunion tour was a huge success, and it demonstrated the enduring popularity of the band. The tour was a reminder of the band’s impact on the music industry, and their ability to captivate audiences with their unique sound and style, so it’s a no brainer that they give this tour a shot as well. That said, will there be a new album? Well, Albarn is coming off of the finished product of ‘Cracker Island’ with the Gorillaz, so between the time of writing that to the release, he may have wrote some new Blur hits as well.
We will see.
