Madonna Stages Surprise Times Square Pride Set
Madonna brought Times Square to a standstill on Thursday night with a surprise pop-up performance in New York City, delivering a short set as she continues promoting her latest music release. The 67-year-old appeared with dancers and a DJ, drawing a large crowd as the impromptu show coincided with the start of Pride Month.
During the 15-minute appearance, Page Six reported that Madonna performed “Hung Up” and “I Love New York” and wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana stage look featuring a pink chiffon teddy, a satin waist cincher and sheer tulle thigh-high stockings.
Fans shared videos from the scene on social media, with the performance featuring a rotating stage and theatrical staging despite its brief running time. The report said the event was put together by Grindr, which has been working with Madonna around the launch of her new album “Confessions II”.
Her latest public appearances follow earlier headlines about her upcoming summer schedule, after her billing alongside Shakira and BTS for a FIFA World Cup 2026 halftime show in the New York-New Jersey area.
The Times Square pop-up underlined Madonna’s continued ability to generate spectacle and attention in the middle of a busy New York night, while giving fans a live moment tied closely to her current release cycle and Pride celebrations.
