Taylor Swift Confirms Song for Toy Story 5
Ms. Taylor Swift has confirmed she has recorded an original track for Toy Story 5 after days of online speculation, with fans dissecting a trail of apparent hints across social media and streaming platforms. The news adds a major pop name to the soundtrack of the latest instalment of the Pixar franchise, which is due to open in UK cinemas on 19 June.
BBC Bitesize reported that an original song titled I Knew It, I Knew You will feature in Toy Story 5, and that Ms. Swift confirmed the collaboration herself on Instagram. The article said the rumours accelerated after her official website displayed a countdown clock and a teaser image using Toy Story-style artwork featuring the initials “TS”.
Fans also pointed to posts from the film franchise’s official Instagram account, including a video of Jessie dancing in front of a billboard that showed only “TS”, as well as changes spotted on streaming services. The report noted that on Spotify the birds in the background art for 1989 appeared as clouds, while Apple Music was said to have switched typeface styling to match the film’s yellow title design.
Pixar later posted another billboard image showing the initials again with a caption referencing the number 13, which is widely associated with the singer, even after an earlier denial from a spokesperson that she was involved. Ms. Swift’s confirmation came after that sequence of clues, and follows her recent headline-making streaming success after topping Spotify’s all-time streaming list.
The BBC piece also used the episode to underline the difference between fan theories and verified information, urging readers to rely on primary sources such as the artist’s team or the film’s official accounts. With the song now confirmed, attention is likely to turn to when the track will be released and how prominently it will feature in the film.
