Britney Spears Opens Up On Emotional Issues
Britney Spears has spoken about experiencing “emotional issues” as she reflected on what she described as an “interesting” year, following her recent DUI arrest and a subsequent rehab stay. The pop star made the comments in a lengthy Instagram message that has since been deleted.
In the post, Spears wrote about feeling a “surge of emotions” in her kitchen and described making arts and crafts, including a stained-glass lamp that she said brought her peace. Page Six reported that she was upset after a housekeeper “accidentally” threw the lamp away, adding that she felt “used to people taking” her things.
The singer also referenced how the personal project changed her relationship with the space, saying it made her want to go to the kitchen again after years of avoiding it, and that she was excited to go there at night for snacks. A representative for Spears did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to the report.
Her latest comments arrive after legal developments linked to her March 4 arrest in Ventura County, California. Spears previously faced public attention around the stop, including details in a police report on the incident that outlined officers’ observations.
Spears’ lawyer, Michael Goldstein, has appeared in court on her behalf to accept a “wet reckless” offer, with the report stating that she is expected to complete a three-month alcohol education programme and serve a one-year informal probation. The episode marks another chapter in a period Spears has characterised as emotionally challenging, as she continues to navigate recovery and legal obligations.
