Sarah Ferguson ‘Embarrassed’ By Prince Andrew Claims
Sarah Ferguson has reportedly become more determined to keep her distance from Prince Andrew after friends and royal commentators claimed she felt embarrassed by the way he spoke to people, as fresh reports suggest strain in their long-running post-divorce relationship.
HELLO! Magazine reported that royal author Mr Andrew Lownie, who wrote Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, said the Duke and Duchess of York were once “one against the world” but that there is now strain between them, with Ms Ferguson allegedly concerned Prince Andrew is “toxic” and could damage her “branding opportunities”.
Majesty Magazine editor Ms Ingrid Seward was quoted as claiming Ms Ferguson “lost respect” for her ex-husband, saying: “He embarrassed her with the way he spoke to people,” and alleging that while the Duchess is “very charming”, Prince Andrew would speak down to those he considered inferior and that she “hated that”.
Although they divorced more than 30 years ago, the pair continued living together for years, but reports say they went their separate ways last year following a high-profile scandal, with Prince Andrew said to have moved out of Royal Lodge. In Britpop News’ previous coverage, Sarah Ferguson was reported to have refused to speak out on Prince Andrew controversy as public scrutiny intensified.
The report said the former couple were last seen together publicly at the funeral of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, in September 2025, and neither has addressed the claims about their relationship since.
