New biography claims crude Prince Andrew pickup line
A newly updated edition of a Prince Andrew biography has resurfaced with fresh allegations about the Duke of York’s past conduct, including a claim about a crude “chat up line” attributed to him by the author. The claims are contained in an updated version of The Rise and Fall of the House of York, written by Mr Andrew Lownie, which revisits long-running controversy around the King’s brother.
NDTV reported that Mr Lownie told Page Six the alleged line was: “What’s it feel like to have the royal c**k against your thigh?”, describing what he called an “extraordinary sense of entitlement”.
The report also described additional anecdotes attributed to sources cited by the author, including a claim that on one flight a female flight attendant offered Prince Andrew a handshake before he allegedly turned and pressed his groin into her backside while practising a golf swing. The updated book further alleges incidents of “sexual humiliation” at social events, including claims of women having their clothing zips pulled down.
The renewed attention on the biography comes amid continuing scrutiny of Prince Andrew’s place within the Royal Family, with recent Britpop News reporting that he allegedly cannot be completely ostracised from the Royal Family despite efforts to distance the monarchy from the fallout of past scandals.
Prince Andrew has previously denied wrongdoing in connection with allegations made against him, and he has largely retreated from public duties following controversies linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein. The author’s latest claims are unproven, but they add to the public debate about the Duke’s reputation and the ongoing challenge for the Royal Family in managing the impact of historic allegations.
