Meghan Markle urged to keep followers engaged after Instagram refresh
Meghan Markle has been urged to take her social media output more seriously after rolling out a “fresh and new” update across her Instagram presence, including her personal @meghan page and the As Ever brand account. The Duchess of Sussex recently changed her profile image and shared new video content linked to the lifestyle venture.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said Meghan should focus on regular posts to hold attention online and help the business grow; Daily Express reported that Ms Bond argued Meghan “needs to take it seriously and keep her followers engaged” if influencing and entrepreneurship are now her chosen career path.
Ms Bond also noted that Meghan’s personal account appears to attract greater interest than the As Ever page, pointing to a significantly larger follower count. She suggested the Duchess should keep producing content in order to “attract more business” as the brand develops.
The refreshed As Ever clip shows Meghan eating a raspberry, arranging flowers, sitting on a kitchen counter, opening a jar of fruit spread and placing a bookmark in a book, with messaging that links the brand to preserves made from fruit grown in her garden. The latest Instagram activity follows recent attention around Meghan’s anniversary posts and the commentary they sparked about a possible rebrand.
Meghan’s updated imagery and the new As Ever video signal a continued push into lifestyle content and brand-building. The next test will be whether the online engagement translates into sustained interest in As Ever’s products and future collections.
