Taylor Swift wedding guest threatens to skip
A reported guest invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding has said they may not attend after allegedly being told they cannot bring a plus-one. The complaint, attributed to an unnamed attendee, centres on feeling uncomfortable arriving alone at what has been described as a high-profile ceremony planned for 3 July in New York City.
The unnamed guest claimed their invitation did not allow for a companion and said the policy was “so awkward” for a single attendee, Page Six reported, adding that the person was considering sitting out the event despite calling it “the wedding of the year.”
The account, originally attributed to comments given to the Daily Mail, also alleged that other invitees have been permitted to bring a plus-one. The guest referenced Ms Selena Gomez, who the source said would attend with her husband, Mr Benny Blanco, and added that venue capacity could be driving restrictions but that the decision still “is not the best feeling.”
The source also claimed the wedding location will only be shared with guests on the morning of the ceremony for security reasons, and that it has sparked speculation among attendees. In recent weeks, Swift and Kelce have continued to attract attention during public appearances, including their New York City date night covered by Britpop News.
A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Swift and Kelce, both 36, have been linked to a 3 July wedding date, with reports also suggesting a guest list that includes friends from Swift’s inner circle and figures connected to the Kansas City Chiefs.
