Prince Harry UK visit talk raises royal fears
Members of the Royal Family are said to be uneasy about the prospect of Prince Harry returning to the UK this summer, amid continued tension with Prince William and the possibility of the brothers being in the same place for the first time since 2024.
The News International reported that the Duke of Sussex may travel in June for his cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding and could also return in July for a pre-Invictus Games event, raising the chance of an encounter with Prince William.
The report, citing a royal insider, said family members are concerned that any meeting could be tense because the relationship between the brothers remains badly strained. The insider was quoted as saying the family are “feeling anxious about having the brothers in the same room again,” adding that while Prince Harry “holds onto hope,” Prince William is “still furious about his behaviour.”
The claims about a potential visit come as scrutiny continues over Prince Harry reportedly setting conditions for a UK return, with the wider debate focused on what a reconciliation would look like and whether a face-to-face meeting could be managed without further fallout.
According to the same reporting, Prince Harry is believed to be on better terms with King Charles and is hoping a trip would allow more time with his father, including a possible meeting between Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet and the King at Balmoral.
