Harry And Meghan Hit Back At ‘Unnamed Sources’ Claims
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have issued a sharp rebuttal after a report claimed the couple were “wildly unhappy” amid renewed scrutiny of their finances. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States, responded via a spokesperson as speculation around their commercial deals resurfaced.
Geo News reported that the Sussexes’ spokesperson dismissed the claims as relying on “unnamed sources” and questioned why anyone with evidence would not go on the record, adding that the allegations made writing “a lot easier” when they are not required to be evidenced.
According to the report, the disputed claims were made by a former People and Us Weekly editor and centred on the couple’s business position following high-profile partnerships in recent years. Geo News said the spokesperson’s comments were given to Newsweek, framing the pushback as a response to what the couple described as “wild” assertions.
The latest rebuttal lands as attention remains fixed on the Sussexes’ next steps, and follows earlier Britpop News coverage in which Prince Harry reportedly wants to move past royal family drama while continuing to balance public life with private priorities in California.
The report added that the original piece cited five people described as being “in their orbit”, alleging the couple’s funds were not exhausted but were being reduced by security costs and an expensive lifestyle. Neither the Duke nor the Duchess has addressed those specific assertions directly beyond the spokesperson’s statement.
