Donald Trump Called Princess Kate ‘Perfect’
President Donald Trump privately praised the Princess of Wales during an off-camera conversation in the Oval Office, according to a new report detailing remarks made after King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s state visit to Washington. The comments were said to have been made during a meeting with royal author Mr Robert Hardman.
Mr Hardman wrote that Trump described Princess Kate as “perfect” and “so great”, and asked “How’s she doing?” while referring to her cancer diagnosis and recovery, Hello Magazine reported.
In the same account, Trump was said to have asked after the Prince of Wales and told Hardman: “William, he’ll be a good King, won’t he? He’s very nice. A great guy. I like him.” The report said the president also remarked that Princess Kate had been “so brave” after “people said crazy things about her”.
The comments add to the public optics of the visit, after Britpop News reported that Donald Trump ‘set the tone’ as King Charles ‘commanded the space’ during their White House engagements.
Hello Magazine noted that Trump last met the Princess of Wales at a state banquet at Windsor Castle in September, where he previously described her as “so radiant, and so healthy and so beautiful”. The wider state visit saw Trump repeatedly praise King Charles as “fantastic” and later say he was “the greatest king in my book” as the royal couple departed Washington.
