Harry Styles’ ‘Sign of the Times’ Hits Movie Songs Chart
Harry Styles has landed a new chart moment after “Sign of the Times” returned to the spotlight through its placement in the film Project Hail Mary. The track has debuted on Billboard’s Top Movie Songs chart for March 2026, highlighting the continued impact of catalogue songs when they are reintroduced through major movie releases.
Billboard reported that “Sign of the Times” bowed at No. 3 on the Top Movie Songs chart after being featured in the newly released Project Hail Mary.
According to the same report, the song had first been used in the movie’s trailer in June 2025 and later appeared in the film itself during a karaoke scene performed by the character Eva Stratt, played by Ms. Sandra Hüller. In the United States during March 2026, the track drew 18.2 million official streams and sold 6,000 downloads, Billboard said, sending it back onto the weekly Digital Song Sales chart for the first time since 2022.
The chart return adds to a busy year for Styles, who has discussed the pressures of performing in opening up on ‘existential’ tour doubts as his profile continues to span both music and wider pop culture conversation.
“Sign of the Times” originally debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017, marking the start of what Billboard described as a run of nine top 10 solo hits for Styles. The latest movie-driven boost underlines how prominent soundtrack and synch moments can reignite interest in older releases across streaming and download platforms.
