Piers Morgan Hits Out at Harry and Meghan
Mr Piers Morgan has attacked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in a social media post after a US entertainment trade report raised fresh questions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with Netflix.
The broadside followed claims in an industry feature about the couple’s streaming output, with Express reporting that Mr Morgan described the coverage as a “brutal (and often hilarious) demolition” of what he called the “Sussex grifters”.
According to the report, the criticism came after Variety suggested the Sussexes’ “bedside manner has ruffled feathers in meetings” and that concerns had been raised at Netflix over “lacklustre” ratings for projects including With Love, Meghan. The article also cited claims that Netflix leadership has rejected suggestions it is “fed up with the pair”, while the Sussexes’ lawyer, Mr Michael J Kump, disputed the allegations in a letter to Variety.
Mr Morgan has repeatedly targeted the Duke and Duchess publicly, including in previous commentary when he accused Prince Harry of being “vitriolic” during earlier disputes involving the couple.
The latest exchange underlines how the Sussexes’ commercial ventures remain a lightning rod for public debate, as their Netflix deal continues to be scrutinised amid competing accounts of how the partnership is performing.
