Star report claims Meghan Markle blaming Prince Harry for career setbacks
Meghan Markle has been accused in a new report of blaming Prince Harry for professional disappointments, with the piece claiming the strain is fuelling tension between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they pursue separate priorities in the United States.
Star Magazine quoted an unnamed source alleging that Netflix has “cut ties” with Meghan’s As Ever lifestyle brand and that there have been “whispers” her series With Love, Meghan may not return for a third season.
The report claimed Meghan, 44, has been focused on building her Hollywood profile while Harry, 40, has “lost interest” in industry networking, with the source saying she believes he was distracted by other projects and family issues and did not commit enough to joint ventures.
The unnamed source also alleged that Harry sees the situation differently, claiming he feels Meghan “got carried away” with her lifestyle brand and made it a central focus, leaving little room for his ideas. The claims follow recent reporting by Britpop News that Meghan Markle and Netflix ended their partnership over the As Ever lifestyle brand, a development that has prompted fresh scrutiny of the couple’s commercial strategy.
Neither Meghan nor Prince Harry commented in the report, and Star did not cite statements from Netflix. The Sussexes have previously said they are building independent media and philanthropic work, and their representatives have not publicly addressed the specific allegations.
