Omid Scobie Says William Still Ignoring Harry
Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship remains strained, with royal commentator Omid Scobie saying the brothers’ feud has not shifted despite what he described as repeated efforts by the Duke of Sussex to reconcile.
Scobie said that “nothing has changed” between the brothers and that Prince Harry’s “expectations and wants and wishes” have not been met, Yahoo News reported.
In comments attributed to him, Scobie argued that Harry had been “still waiting” for an opportunity to address grievances with his older brother, but said Prince William was “avoiding dealing with this matter whatsoever” and had chosen not to engage with the issue.
The remarks follow earlier debate about whether the Sussexes could ever rebuild ties with the Waleses, including a previous report that Prince Harry could be welcomed back by the Royal Family under certain conditions.
Scobie also suggested the continued stalemate could shape perceptions of William’s future role as monarch, arguing that family relationships are part of what the Prince of Wales will be expected to navigate when he becomes head of the Royal Family and Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
There has been no public response from Buckingham Palace or Kensington Palace to the latest comments, and neither prince has spoken publicly about the state of their relationship in recent days.
