Ticketmaster Cancels £20 Harry Styles Resale Tickets
Ticketmaster has confirmed it is cancelling and refunding some orders for Harry Styles’ upcoming £20 Manchester arena show after tickets were found listed on unauthorised resale platforms. The one-off date, scheduled for 6 March at Co-op Live, was announced as a low-cost performance tied to the release rollout for the singer’s forthcoming album.
Manchester Evening News reported that Ticketmaster is working with Harry Styles’ team to void tickets listed on unauthorised resale sites and to cancel and refund any purchases that breach the rules, including orders above the two-ticket limit.
The outlet said the show used an advance request system because of demand, with a two-day registration window opening on 7 February and applicants informed by 10 February whether they had secured tickets. Ticketmaster said the tickets are non-transferable, warning that tickets bought via unauthorised sites are considered fraudulent and that holders would not be admitted.
Ticketmaster also said it plans to reissue cancelled tickets directly to fans, and that there will not be a new request process; instead, some fans whose original requests were unsuccessful will be contacted by email, a move that follows ongoing scrutiny of high-demand ticketing and resale practices, including reports of lengthy Ticketmaster queues faced by Harry Styles fans.
The update is likely to be closely watched by concertgoers as the industry faces continued pressure to limit touting and protect low-priced ticket allocations intended for genuine fans, with organisers urging buyers to use only official channels to avoid cancellations and entry issues.
