Report Claims Meghan Blocks Harry-Andrew Reunion
A new report has claimed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is exploring ways to reconnect with Prince Harry, with the Duke of Sussex’s wife, Meghan Markle, described as strongly opposed to any renewed contact. The claims were published amid continuing scrutiny of Andrew following a recent arrest, which the report says has intensified pressure on the wider Royal Family.
In its live blog, Express reported that a palace insider alleged Andrew feels “a lot of kinship” with Prince Harry and believes they are both “spares” who have been sidelined by the institution.
According to the report, the same source claimed Andrew thinks the situation should “bond” him with his nephew, despite the pair not having been close in the past. It added that while Prince Harry could be open to the idea of rebuilding ties, Meghan was said to be “disgusted” and concerned any association would “tarnish her brand”.
The latest claims follow separate Britpop News reporting on how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out together amid the Andrew drama as the couple continued a limited public schedule in the US.
Express said Andrew, 66, was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office and later released under investigation, and noted he has repeatedly denied allegations and has not been charged. The report also reiterated that Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and now live in the United States with their two children.
