William and Kate’s Bedroom Set-Up Revealed
Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are being discussed for reportedly having an unusual sleeping arrangement at Kensington Palace, after renewed attention on the layout of their former London residence, Apartment 1A.
A floor plan indicates the couple’s main bedroom was on the ground floor rather than upstairs, Birmingham Live reported, in a detail that highlights how royal properties labelled “apartments” can in practice function more like multi-storey houses.
The report also revisits the scale of Apartment 1A, which has been described as having 20 rooms across four floors, alongside staff quarters and facilities including a lift and gym, and notes that the Waleses have access to other residences including Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
In recent years the family’s Windsor base has shifted, and the coverage comes amid continuing public interest in the couple’s private domestic arrangements, with a separate royal floor plan row over William and Kate’s bedroom also drawing attention to how their homes are presented and understood.
While the royal household rarely comments on personal routines, the latest discussion underlines the scrutiny attached to even minor details of senior royals’ day-to-day lives, particularly as Prince William and the Princess of Wales maintain a reduced public profile during her recovery.
