Kayla Nicole pokes fun at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in Super Bowl ad
Kayla Nicole has appeared in a Super Bowl 2026 commercial that jokingly nods to her past relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce and makes a pointed reference to his fiancée, Taylor Swift. The spot aired during Sunday’s championship coverage and places Ms Nicole among a cast of celebrities riffing on the awkwardness of high-profile break-ups.
In the ad for the sports app Sleeper, Page Six reported that Ms Nicole, introduced as the “ex of a certain NFL player”, quips that she was promised the so-called “Ex-communicators” could end an “ex-girlfriend fiasco” and then prompts a correction when she tries alternatives to the word “swiftly”.
The commercial features comedians and athletes playing “emotional injury specialists”, with Tiffany Haddish and Ben Simmons at the centre of the sketch as they offer “compensation” for people “injured emotionally” in public relationships. Ms Nicole’s exchange escalates when Mr Simmons insists on the word “swiftly”, a line the report frames as an unmistakable nod to the pop superstar.
Ms Nicole, 34, dated Kelce, 36, on and off from 2017 to 2022 and has spoken publicly in the past about their relationship. In recent months, she has also been the subject of online debate about references to Swift, including a previous moment in which she was accused of shading Taylor Swift following a separate appearance.
Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 and, according to the same report, became engaged two years later, with the couple widely expected to marry later this year.
