Princess Kate ‘ready to open dialogue’ with Meghan in bid to reunite Prince William and Prince Harry, report says
Princess Kate is reportedly considering direct contact with Meghan Markle as part of an effort to ease tensions between Prince William and Prince Harry, according to a new report. The Mirror said the Princess of Wales wants to help rebuild communication between the brothers after years of public strain.
The report said Princess Kate, 44, is prepared to approach the Duchess of Sussex to open a channel of dialogue, with a source claiming she has “nothing but peace and love in her heart” as she looks toward 2026, Mirror reported.
The Mirror article suggested the Princess believes any reconciliation with the Duke of Sussex would require Meghan’s support, with the source saying she is working with her staff on a “viable approach”. It added that the next major UK visit by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could come this summer around preparations for the 2027 Invictus Games, potentially offering an opening for a meeting.
The report also revisited claims that the Prince of Wales has avoided being in the same city as his brother during recent legal hearings, with one royal expert quoted as describing William’s diary as more than coincidence, as reflected in earlier coverage that he skipped a potential Harry reunion for another engagement.
The Mirror said King Charles is also understood to want his sons to repair their relationship as the High Court proceedings involving the Duke of Sussex continue and future family events approach.
