Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to keep their kids out of the public eye over the past few years, giving fans a glimpse of their private life in Montecito with rare photos of Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie’s red hair and comments about their distinct personalities.
However, that could all be changing now that the Sussex children are getting a little older via In Style. In a statement shared on December 19th, Meghan and Harry disclosed that Lilibet and Archie will be joining their parents in new public roles as part of their Archewell foundation’s latest revamp.
On Friday, Archewell Productions—which is a non-profit founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2020—revealed a major update on its website. The couple noted that they’d renamed their foundation to Archewell Philanthropies to reflect a commitment to charitable activities as a family, changing their website’s URL to reflect the update and sharing a statement on what fans can expect.
“Archewell Philanthropies is home to the charitable work of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they broaden their global philanthropic efforts for meaningful reach and maximum impact. After five beautiful years, the Archewell Foundation is becoming Archewell Philanthropies,” they wrote.
The couple also revealed that as part of their broader family-led initiative, Lilibet, and Archie, will be taking on more responsibility as part of the foundation’s mission.
“This charitable entity allows the couple and their children to expand upon their global philanthropic endeavors as a family,” the statement added.
Previewing what royal watchers can expect from the Archewell Philanthropies rebrand, Meghan and Harry recently stepped out with Archie and Lilibet for an Archewell Foundation partnership with Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA) in November.
The Sussex kids were photographed making cookies with their parents for members of the local community, and Markle shared a photo of their finished baked treats with the caption, “Show up, do good” on her Instagram Story.
