Reports suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t too pleased about Prince William‘s surprise Hollywood cameo for Apple TV+ via Yahoo. The latter recently made an appearance in a preview clip of the streaming service’s series, “The Reluctant Traveler,” alongside actor Eugene Levy.
Following this, a source revealed how William’s latest role in the film industry exposed Harry and Markle’s “faltering ambition,” leaving them unhappy for a reason.
RadarOnline reported about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reactions to Prince William’s Hollywood, and they were far from cheerful. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were allegedly jealous of his guest appearance in the preview clip for the Apple TV+ series alongside Eugene Levy. A source claimed that they also seemed “certain” that there is a reason why “so many major stars are keeping their distance” from them.
Harry and Markle noted that aligning themselves with William and Kate Middleton has become a trend for celebrities. The insider alleged the former two have grown jealous of this, and it has been “eating away at them.” The report further mentioned that the Sussexes, who have lived in California for several years, have struggled to hold their ground amongst A-listers.
Moreover, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle believe that Prince William has been complicating things for them. They feel the Prince of Wales has been “making things more difficult for them to grab any of the limelight they crave.” The couple also seemed “convinced” that the future monarch had been “poisoning Hollywood executives against them.”
As for William, his recent venture was about updating the monarchy and raising the crown’s profile. However, the source alleged that it amuses him how much this is “winding up” his younger brother and his wife. Furthermore, in his opinion, royals have always been closely connected with celebrities.
It is also reported that Prince of Wales felt no “obligation” to explain his “developing ties in Hollywood,” and saw “Harry and Meghan’s envy as nothing more than pettiness.” Nevertheless, the latter two have allegedly felt the betrayal of “watching stars drift toward” William and Middleton, and even hold them accountable for losing connections.
