But insiders say Travolta keeps brushing him off.
Despite being polite when they do cross paths, sources claim the friendship is very one-sided. Harry, now 39, is said to be disappointed by the repeated cold shoulder and believes that his older brother, Prince William, might be to blame. One insider shared that Harry thinks people “turn disinterested when William is around” and that Travolta may have been influenced behind the scenes.
Adding to Harry’s frustration was learning that Travolta recently reconnected with Britney Spears at a white party back in April. According to a source, this hit Harry hard, especially since he thought he had a bond with the actor, who had previously praised a photo of Harry at the Living Legends of America event earlier this year.
Travolta’s connection to royalty dates back to 1985 when he famously danced with Princess Diana at a White House gala hosted by President Ronald Reagan. Sources say Harry often brings up that moment in letters to Travolta, trying to find common ground. But another insider suggested it just comes off as “a little weird,” and that Travolta isn’t as interested in reconnecting as Harry might hope.
