Pop icon Miley Cyrus is not bored when it comes to her fans. After the Grammy winner was accused of being dismissive at a June 21st meet-and-greet in London, where she and collaborator Naomi Campbell signed unreleased Something Beautiful vinyls, she addressed the online discourse via E! Online.
“The record store requested no photos,” she explained in a June 24 Instagram post, “due to the unexpected last minute turn out.”
She also emphasized that her goal in planning the event wasn’t to disappoint anyone, despite backlash online claiming she paid more attention to Naomi than her fans but to express her appreciation.
“Our vinyl was originally set to drop a week later, but since we were both in London @roughtradeeast made it happen day of,” she explained, shouting out the record store that hosted her. “I wanted to gift my Smilers an exclusive experience & unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you’ve shown me in the UK over the years.”
She continued to share that for her, it’s all about her supporters.
“I saw so many familiar faces & met some sweet new ones,” she added. “To everyone who came out to celebrate our single, we love you.”
An Instagram user commented on the post to show her support and confirm that she felt nothing but love at the event.
“Yes queen shut the haters down! I was at the signing and you and Naomi were nothing but sweet,” she wrote. “Thankyou so much & it was amazing to finally meet you.”
The Wrecking Ball singer had also expressed her gratitude for her fans in an earlier post following the signing, writing on Instagram June 22nd, “Thank you to everyone who showed up to the signing, we adored meeting you.”
