Meghan Markle is facing criticism over her new projects. Her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan received poor reviews, and both that show and her upcoming podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, have been accused of copying names and ideas. Meghan Markle also roasted Drew Barrymore’s weird behavior.
After Markle announced the podcast on Instagram, people quickly pointed out that the name is similar to other lesser-known projects. One user on X accused her of copying a podcast called Confessions of a CEO, while another noted that a YouTuber, Kady Méite, has been using the exact name Confessions of a Female Founder.
However, Méite has defended Markle, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that she believes it’s just a coincidence. “It is highly unlikely Meghan even came across my channel, but I am flattered by the thought,” she said. She also expressed concern over how quickly the situation turned into another reason to criticize Markle.
Markle’s new podcast, produced with Lemonada Media, premieres on April 8. On Instagram, she described it as a series featuring conversations with successful women about turning ideas into businesses.
Despite the backlash, Markle recently confirmed that With Love, Meghan has been renewed for a second season on Netflix.
