They say you never forget your first school teacher. In fact, they also say your favorite teacher is the one that leaves the biggest impression on you and no one proved that undoubtedly recently than former One Direction member Harry Styles. During a recent concert that took place at Emirates Old Trafford in England, the pop sensation would halt his show to locate somebody quite familiar to him that he spotted in the crowd.
That person would end up being one of Styles’ very first teachers. The teacher, who was only identified as ‘Mrs. Vernon’. Styles quickly tried to identify her in front of the venue that held up to 26,000 people. “So, we’re going to get really quiet and I’m going to see if I can locate this person if you don’t mind helping me.” The crowd would join in on the activity leading Harry to quickly go “There she is”.
Styles, would then deliver some very sincere words: “How are you?” he asked. “I hear you’re retiring. I’d just like to thank you for everything in those formative years and, yeah, thank you so much. In other news concerning Harry Styles, during a recent interview with Extra, X Factor judge Simon Cowell discussed Styles’ audition with the show.
“I remember his audition like it was yesterday,” Cowell told the outlet. “He was very charming, he was very confident, he was very funny, and I liked him.”
He further added: “I just thought there’s something … special about him,” added the British entrepreneur. “You never forget those moments, and, like I said, genuinely if we weren’t making people’s careers successful, I would never be making these shows today.”
