Former One Direction member Harry Styles has a massive fan following across the globe which he has built over the years. Now, it seems that legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi is one of them.
Bon Jovi sheds praise on Harry Styles
The rockstar has gushed over the singer following the success of his latest album, Harry’s House, which included the hit single As It Was. Bon Jovi, who rarely speaks in public nowadays praised ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ actor for his award-winning career which has seen him venture into the acting industry.
Most recently, Harry appeared in the LGBTQ+ movie My Policeman alongside Emma Corrin and David Dawson, and Florence Pugh in the US-based film, Don’t Worry Darling.
Speaking about Grammy Award-winning Harry, Bon Jovi said:
“Harry Styles is the biggest star… His ability to be a deeper thinker than a pop boy singer.
“His sexuality, which is the whole androgyny thing.
“His ability to cross over into film, which is never easy for anyone who’s a singer; It’s not going to be an easy road for him but he’s got a shot.”
He went on to add:
“I love what he’s doing musically, he’s challenging himself and then he comes up with a pop song that has a deeper meaning.
“You know, As It Was, it is not going to be the same as it was folks, I love that because he gave you a slap upside the head and said, ‘I’m here with you but doing it on my terms.’
“So, all of those things to me make him one-of-one.”
The comments come after Harry found himself nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for songwriting in three categories, including Songwriter of the Year, Best Song Musically and Lyrically and PRs for Music Most Performed Work.
