Prince Harry was not able to dress in uniform or salute at the late Queen’s memorial service. This is because Harry is no longer immediate to the royal family. While this is something that is custom in practice to these situations if they arise; not many are too happy with the idea that Harry was pretty outcasted.
The former wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver took to Twitter to state her own opinion on the issue as it has truly been a very hot topic lately.
Maria Shriver would state on Twitter about Prince Harry not allowed to be in uniform: “I’ve never seen shaming work. Shaming can’t bring a family back together, it only drives individuals further apart. The irony here is that Prince Harry is the one that stands out.”
Fans immediately came to the comment section to agree with Maria and they ensured to boost the post very heavily as well.
She would then continue into the comments: “I only comment on this because we all have families. This one could lead in this dept and is choosing not to, it’s a lost opportunity. It’s a complicated issue but it’s also very simple. They could easily let him wear the uniform for the ceremony, which is what it is: a ceremony.”
Not only is Harry very strong in his stances, but what many need to know is that Harry is, in fact, a veteran who served for ten years and also did his time in Afghanistan. Fans of the royal family feel that Harry should have been able to be in uniform for the event, or at very minimum, be able to salute those who watched on during the memorial – but as stated above, he was not able to dress in uniform nor salute. There has been no word by Harry.
