Woman Alleges Prince Andrew Touched Her At Epstein Mansion
A woman has alleged that Prince Andrew brushed his hand against her chest when she was 17 during a gathering at Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan mansion in 2010, reigniting scrutiny of the Duke of York’s links to the late financier. Caroline Kaufman, now 32, said the incident occurred during a visit to the Upper East Side property in December that year.
Express reported that Ms Kaufman claimed dozens of young women were instructed to wear identical black dresses in what she described as a “meat market” atmosphere, and that Prince Andrew arrived and began greeting some of the women.
Ms Kaufman alleged that when Prince Andrew approached her, his hand “brushed” her chest and he asked her age, adding that he appeared to “shy away” when she told him she was 17. She also claimed she stayed at the gathering for about 40 minutes before being taken upstairs, where she alleges she was raped by Epstein.
The allegations come as attention remains focused on material connected to the Epstein investigation, including a recently circulated image from the Epstein files that appears to show Prince Andrew with a young woman that has been discussed in recent days.
Prince Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing in relation to his association with Epstein, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The Duke previously said he travelled to New York in 2010 to end his friendship with Epstein, telling the BBC’s Newsnight in 2019 that the purpose of the trip was to break off contact.
