Victoria Beckham recently shared a funny complaint about her husband, David Beckham, and it has everything to do with his habit of being early. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Victoria joined actress Kerry Washington to play a game called “Truth or Drink,” where guests either answer personal questions or take a sip of their drink.
Victoria chose not to answer a question about which fashion designer she finds unimpressive, but she was more than willing to talk about what annoys her most about David. She explained that David likes to arrive early to everything and not just a little early.
According to Victoria, he insists on showing up so early that sometimes they arrive before the staff or even the hosts. She joked that it can be embarrassing, especially at parties where they clearly aren’t expected yet.
“Can I answer and have a drink?” she began. “David likes to be early for
everything. But absolutely everything. We went to a party recently and we were there before the waiting staff, before the guests. I mean, it’s embarrassing.”
This habit may be linked to David Beckham’s obsessive-compulsive disorder, which he has spoken about openly. In his 2023 documentary, David shared how he feels a strong need to keep things neat and organized. He also talked about this earlier in the year during a panel for his supplement brand, IM8. David admitted that his need for order can be exhausting and sometimes frustrates both his wife and their children.
Despite the small annoyance, Victoria’s comments were clearly playful. After 26 years of marriage, it’s just another example of how well the couple knows each other , quirks and all.
