Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are now engaged. The singer and the Kansas City Chiefs star shared the news in a joint Instagram post on August 26, 2025, with a playful caption calling themselves an English teacher and a gym teacher getting married.
The couple hasn’t shared details about the proposal yet, but the engagement ring fits Taylor’s classic style. Jewelry experts say the ring looks like something from the Victorian Era, with detailed gold work and a vintage design. Page Six reported that the ring was made by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
The ring itself is a large antique-style cushion-cut diamond, about eight carats in size, with very high color and clarity. It’s set in 18k yellow gold with fine prongs, smaller diamonds, and hand-engraved designs on the band. Experts estimate the ring costs around $550,000.
Swift and Kelce, who started dating in 2023, haven’t revealed how the proposal happened. Recently, they appeared together on Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. Around the same time, Taylor announced her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, and Kelce shared in an interview with GQ how natural their relationship feels. He said that despite all the media attention, their love grew organically and makes him feel like they are just two normal people in love.
